Pretty Poppin’ Plaid

Hey yall!! ? I figured it’s finally the time to display some casual outfits on my blog every once and a while soooooo…here we are! Welllll…I didn’t actually figure that out. My lovely coworker Stephanie did. (Hey girlll!!?) Here is the story behind that though:

Lately I have been dressed more casual lately at work. Kinda have been giving the heels a chance to rest I guess.? Normally I am all dressed up Mon-Thurs and Fridays were my casual days. This time my body has been feeling too tired or lazy to gain energy to get cute. Most of last week I have been in a plaid-wearing mood. Plaid almost ALWAYS makes an appearance on racks in the clothing stores soon as the seasons change and it starts to get cooler. I wore both outfits to work but I didn’t feel as cute as everyone kept telling me I was. So my coworker aka my ‘at-work’ photographer Stephanie was telling me I should take a picture because I look nice. I looked at myself up and down and said ‘No Way!”. I literally just threw on these clothes and wasn’t prepared for any pictures. I’m not going to lie, my hair under these hats…TRUST ME when I say I needed to wear a hat!?? Anywho, she told me I need to show more casual outfits on my blog so my readers can see a more comfortable side of myself.

She was right! I am so glad I listened to her. The only thing is with the grey and orange plaid outfit, I didn’t have any makeup or those accessories on me at the time. I was under-accessorized! No worries though, I went home did my face, grabbed some gold jewelry pieces and my grey jacket. Called up my cousin Chelsea to come outside to deal with me and my different poses.?

Sorry if it felt like I told a long bedtime story lol but moral of what I am wanting to say is that adding accessories to any casual outfit is a perfect way to spruce up your fit! When in doubt, just grab some type of accessory and that may be all you need to transfer that bland fit into something better.? It’s just as easy as grabbing a hat, scarf or necklace to make it a complete finish. I would say, since it’s “SUPPOSE’” to be winter, take advantage of the scarves, beanies and jackets!!
