70’s Funk Flex Afro Style

Hey my peoples!! Happy Friday & Mother’s Day weekend!!

So last week I went to Los Angeles, Cali but for only 2days! It was necessary for the slay queen to bring at least one stylish look with me. Since this was Cali where it is extremely normal to find all types of people and freedom of style & vibes, I wanted to go back in time with it.

This dress just so happened to match one of my newest orange boots I got from Shein & it was PERFECTION together! It reminded me so much of the 70’s alone with the style of the dress, the prints & the boots were already given old-school with the type of platform it was!

What really sold the 70’s look was topping it off with my afro! I remember being so worried about the wig looking too custom-ish but it really sealed the deal! Adding some funky gold hop earring & some clear shades reminded me of something my grandma would wear back in the day.

I know when she sees these pics she will be reminded of the style from then. While in LA I had people staring and telling me how in LOVE they were with my look & how it reminded them of their days and how everything comes back in style.

It felt really good to show a different side with my afro. Something about the 70’s style I loved because the looks were BOLD, flowy & made a STATEMENT. That’s the type of slay I always want to deliver!!
